TRACS Accreditation
Congratulations to all!
Washington University of Virginia (WUV) is pleased to announce that all our programs have been granted the distinction of being TRACS-accredited. As of April 21, 2020, Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) accredits a total of 11 programs of WUV that are serving students from 50 countries around the world for the period of five years, from 2020 till 2024. These include the ESL (non-degree granting) program.
TRACS, a Category IV Accreditation Institution, was founded in 1979 as a voluntary, non-profit, self-governing organization to promote the welfare, interests, and development of postsecondary institutions whose mission is characterized by a distinctly Christian purpose, as defined in the agency’s Foundational Standards. TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education (DOE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).
A most extraordinary outcome of this process was that the TRACS Accreditation Commission has approved WUV to move from an applicant status to an accreditation status without going through the Candidacy status. The Visiting Team cited no compliance issues with WUV’s educational efforts. The Accrediting Commission’s action demonstrates the quality of WUV’s instruction, its commitment to student learning, and the excellence of its academic and student support programs.
With the TRACS accreditation, WUV is determined to serve you with better educational quality, faculty, programs, and services. It is an on-going process and we ask for your cooperation in this journey together.
Sincerely,
Peter Chang
President, WUV
