How to Upload Assignments to Moodle
If you have a file you need to upload to Moodle for an assignment, here is a step by step guide on how to submit an assignment!
First, go to the Moodle home page and select the course your assignment is in.
You can easily identify which items are assignments by the following icon:
Once you have selected the assignment you need to submit to, you will be taken to the Submission Status page with details on the assignment. On the bottom of the page, click on “Add Submission.”
There are two ways of adding files: the first is to click the “Add…” button as shown by this icon:
A File Picker window will appear. Click “Upload a file” on the left-hand side and then select the “Choose File” button to view your computer’s files. Once you have found the appropriate file, select it and then click the blue “Upload this file” button at the bottom.
Alternatively, you can submit a file for an assignment by dragging and dropping your file into the box listed below “Files.”
You will see your file listed in the file submissions for the assignment. You can see the details of when the file was last modified, the size, and the type of file it is. If you are satisfied with this, you can click the blue “Save changes” button.
Once you save, you will return to the Submission Status page where it will show a green confirmation of your successful file submission for the assignment. You should also be able to see your file listed in the File Submissions section.
Additionally, you may be able to edit or remove your submission before the due date depending on how your professor set up the assignment.
