If you have a file you need to upload to Google Classroom for an assignment, here is a step by step guide on how to submit an assignment!
First, go to Google Classroom and select the course your assignment is in.
Find the assignment either on the Stream homepage or in the Classwork tab. Click on the assignment and then select “View assignment.”
Here you will be able to see all of your assignment details, such as the due date and how many points the assignment is worth.
If you have questions about the assignment that you would like to talk to the rest of the class about, you can add a Class comment at the bottom.
If you would like to add a private comment for only you and your professor to see, you can also do that on the lower right-hand side.
There are several ways you can go about uploading assignments for Google Classroom. You can click the “+ Add or create” button and select a Google file from your Google Drive, a separate link, or from your own computer files.
Since Google Classroom is entirely incorporated with all of Google’s programs (such as Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Drawings), you can create a Google item specifically for the assignment by clicking the same button and choosing whichever type of file you would like to use.
If you choose to add a file through Google Drive or your own computer files, you will be greeted with this window:
You can select a file either through your recently accessed files, you can select “Upload” to choose a new file from your computer, you can click “My Drive” to access your Google Drive files, or you can click “Starred” for your previously starred Google items.
Once you are satisfied with whatever file you have selected, click the green “Turn in” button.
A small window will pop up asking for final confirmation before you submit your assignment.
Once your assignment is turned in, you will still have the option to unsubmit the assignment if you would like to re-submit something different before the due date.
